DERMAL FILLER

TREATMENTS

Dermal filler has quickly become a popular treatment option for all ages. Whether you are looking to create more definition, contour, looking to add volume or replace lost volume, dermal filler is a versatile treatment with instant results.

Dermal filler treatments should be carried out by a medical professional, to reduce the risk of any complications and adverse effects. Our dermal filler treatments are carried out by our advanced aesthetic nurse prescriber, who holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies. As Luceo Aesthetics is a Healthcare Improvement Scotland registered clinic, we are able to stock medications, and have the knowledge and skill to treat any emergencies.

At Luceo Aesthetics, patient care and safety is our number one priority. We provide all of our patients with a full consultation to discuss your concerns and develop your individual treatment plan. This plan may involve a number of treatments or sessions, depending on the desired results, and our practitioner will allow you to make a fully informed decision.

How Dermal Filler Works

At Luceo Aesthetics we use only premium products that have a long safe history of use. There are different types of dermal fillers. Luceo Aesthetic use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers because they are less likely to cause any allergic reactions. HA is a natural substance in your body/skin and can be reversed if any complications arise (rare).

Hyaluronic Acid is a sugar chain molecule that is found naturally in the skin. It helps keep the skin hydrated, plump and firm as well as helping to nourish the skin. As we age, we lose some of our natural HA and this can result in the skin becoming loose, wrinkled and saggy. We also lose volume in the facial fat pads and some of our facial bones shrink due to bony resorption. Dermal fillers can give instant results to reverse these signs of ageing and make your skin hydrated, plump and firm once again. Dermal fillers can be used to replace lost volume in the cheeks, strengthen the jaw line and enhance a weak chin. It can help to erase lines and wrinkles.

Dermal Filler Aftercare

At Luceo Aesthetics, we like to deliver gold standard care. This means we don’t stop caring for our patients once they have left our clinic following treatment. We care about our patients so much, and although serious complications are very rare, we like to ensure patients have prompt access to follow up and advice in any event or emergency. For 48 hours post procedure, patients will be able to speak to our medical professional if any concerns arise, at any time of night or day. Patient's phone numbers will be on emergency bypass for 48 hours to allow this.

At Luceo Aesthetics we like to review patients 2-4 weeks after treatment to ensure they are happy once the dermal filler has had a chance to settle in. There is no charge for this review.
