Medical Micro Needling is a safe and effective treatment for all the above concerns. When combined with mesotherapy, this gives added benefits to the results. Micro needling is an effective skin rejuvenation treatment to treat various skin imperfections and restore the healthy, youthful appearance of skin, by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin.

Tiny sterile needles are used to puncture the upper layers of the skin to cause a micro trauma. This stimulates the body to produce new collagen and elastin to strengthen the skin. This has the effect of firming and lifting the skin as well as helping reduce any acne scarring, open pores or other fine lines. It can also be used to treat and improve stretch marks.

Clinicare Mesotherapy serums are added for an enhanced and more targeted treatment. The mesotherapy vials contain a mixture of skin rejuvenating, hydrating, firming, tightening and antioxidant ingredients to restore moisture and firmness.

Raffine Medical Micro Needling

At Luceo Aesthetics we use the Raffine Automatic Micro Needle Therapy System (AutoMTS), one of the best devices to deliver precision depth and with less pain compared to manual devices (e.g. dermaroller). This is a medical grade device and is the first device of its kind to receive the new UKCA (Medical CE certification since leaving EU)

Clinical studies have shown AutoMTS to be more effective than ablative treatments such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion and chemical peels. Raffine device micro needling treatment is just as effective as IPL, C02 laser and Fraxel in stimulating collagen and elastin production to thicken the skin thus erasing wrinkles and smoothing scars.

Consultation

A full medical consultation is carried out with our nurse prescriber to discuss your concerns and ensure suitability before agreeing a treatment plan. A booking fee of £30 will secure your appointment, and this is redeemable against treatment.

Procedure Time

At Luceo, we take our time to inform you of the treatment plan and aftercare. The procedure time will be around 60 - 75 minutes, depending on which areas are being treated.

Recovery Time

Minimal downtime with aftercare information provided at your appointment. You can return to work straight away but should avoid exercise for 72hr.

Results

Visible results even after *1 session. For best results a course of at least 3 treatments is recommended. The interval between will depend on each individual and what concerns/areas are being treated. (* apart from treating hair loss/thinning – a minimum of 3 treatments are required)

What Happens at your Appointment?

Your treatment will start a gentle skin cleanse followed by an instant painless peel – no pain, no downtime, no peeling. This peel prepares the skin to allow best response to the micro needling treatment.

Following the peel, your skin will be disinfected with antibacterial cleanser and a topical anaesthetic gel may be applied. This works quickly to give a numbing effect, so your treatment will have minimal discomfort.

A mesotherapy serum will be applied to your skin and the electronic raffiné micro needling device will then be used to treat affected areas. This device gives quick, precise treatment with minimum discomfort.

Following the micro needling you will have a special soothing face mask applied to the area for 15-20 minutes.

During micro needling, different mesotherapy serums will be applied and these can penetrate deep into the skin to nourish and deliver different ingredients depending on your concerns.

For facial treatments, a post treatment sheet mask is applied to the skin for up to 15 minutes. It contains a high concentration of Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMWHA), Peptides with epidermal Growth Factors to activate skin cell regeneration, help restore the skins moisture and reduce any redness and irritation. You will then have Clinicare Dermo Corrective SPF50 applied to protect against those UVA/UVB rays. It also has soothing, calming properties to promote skin healing.

You may be advised to use certain skincare products to enhance your treatment results.

You will be given aftercare advice to follow.

Who is Suitable for this Treatment?

You will receive a full medical assessment before agreeing to the treatment and this will include checking your medical history, current medications, and any skin concerns.

Medical Micro Needling is suitable for:

Men and women aged 18 years and over.
All skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale (Fitzpatrick 4 and above will require a patch test).
Vegans

Things to consider:

You should not have Medical Micro Needling treatment if you have planned special event or sunshine holiday within 2 weeks after treatment.

The treatment is not suitable for the following:

Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Uncontrolled diabetes
Roaccutane treatment in the last 6 months
Bleeding disorders such as haemophilia
Radiotherapy in the treatment area in the last 6 months
History of keloid scarring
Active infection/cold sores in the area being treated.
A full medical consultation will be carried out to determine your suitability.
You will be given a leaflet with advice to help reduce the risks of infection, bruising and swelling.

Aftercare

At Luceo Aesthetics we like to deliver gold standard care. This means we don’t stop caring for our patients once they have left our clinic following treatment. We care about our patients so much, and although serious complications are very rare, we like to ensure patients have prompt access to follow up and advice in any event or emergency.

You will be given full instructions and advice on aftercare to allow the best result whilst minimising any adverse effects. There is no charge any post treatment reviews.
